What Happens Here?

A week before the new set is released, you can some pre-release packs, head home, and try out all the exciting new cards and mechanics in your favorite setting.

What is the Format?

The format for this event is Pre-Release Take-Home. You will receive a pre-release pack, which contains new cards for you to play. Then you are free to take it to your packs whereever your prefer to build and play how you like. For more information on the what is inside a pre-release pack, see below.

What Do I Get Here?

Every participating player receives a Lost Caverns of Ixalan pre-release pack. Inside each pre-release pack you will find:

• 6 The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Draft Boosters; each Draft Booster contains 15 Magic cards
• 1 foil, year-stamped Rare or Mythic Rare
• 1 Magic: The Gathering Arena code card
• 1 deck box
• 1 Spindown die

What Are The Prizes?

With a Single Player Take-Home Ticket, you get a Magic: The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Set Boosters and assorted Promo Cards. With a Double Player Take-Home Ticket, you get 3 Magic: The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Set Boosters and assorted Promo Cards. To collect prizes a valid Wizards Eventlink ID is required. Eventlink ID could be the email  you use with the Magic Compaion App and/or in Magic Arena. If you do not already have an account, you can set up one here.

What is Magic: the Gathering?

In the Magic game, you play the role of a planeswalker, a powerful wizard who fights other planeswalkers for glory, knowledge, and conquest. Your deck of cards represents all the weapons in your arsenal. It contains the spells you know and the creatures you can summon to fight for you.

Trading card games like the Magic: The Gathering TCG combine collectible cards with a strategy game. You don't know what you'll get in a Magic booster pack. You just start a collection and trade with other players to get the cards you want.

The best part about a trading card game is that it's always changing. You design and build your own unique decks, and each Magic game you play is different. New Magic expansions are released a few times a year, and each new expansion brings new ways to stupefy and defeat your opponents.
