Squishable Comfort Food French Toast (Standard)
French Toast! Quel regal merveilleux! Plus de mots en francais! One might be under the impression that French Toast is from France. Faux! The recipe has been around as long as man has been able to place eggs, butter and bread together and fry them on something hot. So why do we call it French Toast if it didn't come from France? In the exotic and far-flung location of Albany, New York, an innkeeper named Joseph French created the modern-day dish and called it "French Toast" (it should have been "French's toast," but they couldn't be bothered). Thus the current confusion! French Toast is therefore not only a delicious breakfast treat, but a tact reminder of the importance of good grammar.
