Draconis RPG: The Call of Adventure Core Book (5E)
We've adapted the 5e system so that it serves the poetic purpose of Draconis, and allows for a style of play centered on the pleasure of discovery, understanding others, and pacifism.
These rules allow for a wide range of situations and game tones, and are sufficiently adaptable to meet the multiple challenges posed by Draconis' benevolence.
The use of violence will have moral and social consequences for the characters. These are emphasized in the book and the scenarios, both by the mechanics and the storytelling.
There are different game modes to choose from (with options that can be combined at the leader's discretion), thanks to a modular system developed in the tradition of Fateforge and Shadows of Esteren. Innocence mode focuses on pure pacifism, combat rules are not used, nor are attack spells. You can, for example, include darker themes, such as melancholy, fear or regret, by selecting the Black heart options.
The world of Draconis is filled with fabulous dragons who can become your allies and even your friends.
Omnipresent dragons characterize the fauna of the Draconis setting. Many species with diverse appearances and behaviors live in harmony with their environment, forming the unique ecosystem of the world of Dreanke. Learning to identify these dragons, understand them, and respect them is the challenge that human populations have to face as they discover these fascinating creatures. These concepts will be at the core of the player's adventures throughout the world of Dreanke.
